Infodash Release 5.3: New Features and Governance Enhancements 

We are pleased to announce the release of Infodash 5.3. This update introduces important new functionality along with governance enhancements and performance updates that help law firms manage information securely, collaborate with confidence, and deliver stronger client service. 

Extranet Site Finder Navigation

The new Extranet Site Finder provides a dynamic site tree that makes it simple for users to locate and access the right extranet site. This addition strengthens client collaboration by reducing time spent searching and ensuring users can connect directly to the right workspace. 

Governance Enhancements 

Release 5.3 expands governance tools to give firms deeper oversight. Search performance has been improved, while new KPIs such as “Last Access” make it easier to understand usage patterns. Enhanced visibility into permissions and site activity provides firms with a more accurate picture of how their environments are being used. 

Infodash Profile Service (IDPS)

The Infodash Profile Service is a new solution for firmwide profile management. Integrated with Azure AI Search, IDPS provides stronger capabilities than traditional SharePoint people search and ensures that attorneys and staff can quickly connect with the right expertise across the firm. 

Smarter User Lifecycle Management

To support extranet deployments, Infodash 5.3 introduces a soft-delete capability for user syncs. This gives firms a more controlled approach to managing Entra accounts and reduces administrative overhead while keeping access aligned with client and matter requirements. 

Timeline Web Part

Firms can now build visual horizontal or vertical timelines to mark milestones and deadlines. This feature is particularly useful for matter management, project planning, and client-facing extranets where clarity and transparency are critical. 

Unified Search Hub

Active Search configuration is now fully integrated into Infodash Search. This creates a single landing page for results and centralizes the search experience, reducing complexity for users and improving consistency across the firm. 

Expanded Customization Options

Release 5.3 also extends customization flexibility. Firms can take advantage of globally loaded custom JavaScript bundles and newly customizable KPI cards, making it easier to align Infodash with internal processes and reporting needs. 

Performance and Reliability

In addition to new features, this release includes dozens of fixes and performance improvements across search, governance, navigation, and integrations.
