Infodash Release 5.15: Enhanced User Experience and Design Improvements
Infodash Carousel
Layout(s): Call to Action Split Left/Right
One of the first things you’ll notice in the Infodash Carousel Call to Action Split Left and Split Right layout update is a cleaner overall presentation. We’ve refined the spacing, updated the navigation arrows, introduced rounded corners, and improved the way SharePoint theme colors are applied.
These changes help featured content stand out while creating a more modern experience that’s consistent with the rest of the platform. Although the look has been refreshed, the functionality remains the same, so existing users will feel right at home.
Infodash Featured News (Hero)
Layout: Featured Carousel Block
Because Featured News is often one of the first things users see on a homepage, we wanted to make it cleaner and easier to read. You’ll notice improved typography, updated spacing, rounded corners, and subtle shadows that give the layout a little more depth without distracting from the content. These refinements help important announcements stand out while maintaining a clean, professional appearance.
Infodash Cards
Layout: Announcement
The Announcement layout within Infodash Cards has also received a refresh. Cards now feature cleaner spacing, refined typography, rounded corners, and subtle shadows that make each announcement easier to distinguish.
We’ve also improved the responsive behavior of the layout so it makes better use of available space across different page configurations. The overall result is a cleaner presentation that’s easier for users to scan.
Infodash Quick Links
Layout: Compact Grid
The Infodash Quick Links web part offers several layouts for different navigation scenarios. In Release 5.15, we’ve refreshed two of those layouts: Compact Grid and Stacked.
The Compact Grid layout introduces improved spacing, rounded corners, subtle borders, stronger SharePoint theme integration, and improved responsiveness that helps the layout adapt more naturally to different page widths.
Infodash Quick Links
Layout: Stacked
The Stacked layout in Infodash Quick Links has also been refreshed with cleaner spacing, updated dividers, refined navigation arrows, and a more modern overall appearance.
Together these updates create a cleaner, more consistent navigation experience while preserving the flexibility customers already expect from Quick Links.
Infodash Apps/Resources
Layout: Tiles (Default)
Application tiles now feature rounded corners, subtle borders, and improved spacing that create a cleaner, more organized presentation.
We’ve also updated the edit control from a gear icon to a pencil icon, providing a clearer indication that the control is used to edit the web part.
While these are small refinements individually, together they make the experience feel more intuitive and visually consistent with the rest of the platform.
Infodash Events
Layout: Compact List
Release 5.15 includes updates to three layouts within the Infodash Events web part. The Compact List layout features refreshed typography, updated styling, rounded corners, and theme-aware date badges that improve readability while maintaining its familiar compact presentation.
Infodash Events
Layout: Vertical Card #1
The Infodash Events Vertical Card #1 layout has received a more noticeable visual refresh with updated date badges, refined typography, rounded corners, refreshed action icons, subtle shadows, and a simplified date format that makes upcoming events easier to scan.
Together these enhancements provide a cleaner, more engaging way to present upcoming events while remaining consistent with the overall design language introduced in this release.
Infodash Events
Layout: Film-Strip
As with the Vertical Cards #1 layout update, the Film-Strip layout has been refreshed to create a cleaner and more consistent experience.
You’ll notice the introduction of updated date badges, refined typography, rounded corners, refreshed action icons, subtle shadows, and a simplified date format, along with updated navigation arrows that align with the refreshed styling used throughout the platform.
These visual enhancements create a more polished presentation while preserving the familiar horizontal scrolling experience your users already know.
The functionality remains the same, but the updated styling helps the Film-Strip layout feel more cohesive with the other refreshed Events layouts.
